THE PROBLEM

Child abuse is on the rise. Not in some far-off place, but right here in Tarrant County. It's rising one innocent child at at time. More than 580 Texas children are currently placed out of state. We are facing a CRISIS in the foster care system as the Texas Child Protective Services system does not have enough bedspace for all children in its care. The numbers are clear. Without intervention, the effects of child abuse or neglect can continue to LAST A LIFETIME including:

  1. higher incarceration rates

  2. teenage pregnancy

  3. homelessness

  4. substance abuse

  5. poor medical/mental health

SO, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO HELP?

Volunteer for CASA. Donate to support CASA. Our Court Appointed Special Advocates make a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE in the life of an abused child. They listen, care and spend time with each child, and are a CONSISTENT VOICE whose purpose is to help during a difficult time. On average, children with a CASA volunteer:

  1. Spend 5 FEWER MONTHS in foster care, compared to those without a CASA

  2. Are more likely to find a permanent home and be placed with family

  3. Have better educational outcomes and receive more therapeutic services

GIVE TO CASA

Generous giving to CASA of Tarrant County allows the organization to support additional advocates and therefore serve more children in need. THANK YOU for your support!
